Obaasima Business Challenge (OBC)
Obaasima Business Challenge seeks to motivate young women to go into entrepreneurship and address young women’s unemployment challenges by equipping them with business, entrepreneurship, and digital skills that will enable them to take advantage of opportunities offered to innovate, provide solutions to society problems, generate wealth, create jobs and increase the number of sustainable enterprises in Ghana.
Women in Business Accelerator program (WiBA)
The Women in Business Acceleration Program is specifically crafted to empower and uplift women-led businesses, acknowledging the unique challenges faced by female entrepreneurs. This program aims to equip our entrepreneurs with essential resources such as access to investment opportunities, funding support for their businesses, and valuable guidance through mentorship with industry experts. By providing these resources, we strive to facilitate the growth and success of women entrepreneurs on their entrepreneurial journey.
Digital Skills Training for Girls
The Digital Skills Training for Girls is an initiative by WAN-Hive Ghana to equip young ladies between the ages of 15 to 20 with practical training in Basic Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills to aid them in their academic and professional journey. This is a Bi-annual training program to support girls in both Junior and Senior High Schools with basic computer skills.
This program seeks to break the gender parity in the digital space by equipping high school girls with basic ICT skills in Microsoft office, surfing the internet, social media engagement, and other digital skills.
Women in Agribusiness Support Program
The Women in Agribusiness Support Program seeks to support female farmers with tailored agricultural development strategies, financial management strategies, expert mentorship, and investment opportunities to scale agricultural innovation in Ghana.
The Program was launched by WAN-Hive Ghana on March 19, 2022, purposely to build momentum towards developing the female agribusiness potential in Ghana through inclusive dialogue, training programs, and farming tools. The Support Program is set to scale up the innovations of female-led farmers, increase productivity, and leverage technology to make the sector more attractive to the youth most especially young ladies.
Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET)
The project seeks to equip young females with employable vocational, technical, digital, and entrepreneurial skills to facilitate the creation of sustainable employment opportunities whilst solving societal problems. As TVET and digital skills are in high demand, it is important to equip females to take advantage of this opportunity to capture the market, generate wealth and break the gender parity in the entrepreneurship and innovation space.
Females receive training in different sectors including, fashion production and cosmetology, food processing, craft, and accessories production, leather works production, aesthetic production, digital Marketing tools like (Social media, web apps, and mobile app development) and content creation.
